2014 is just around the corner and with each new year, I like to shift the focus of my Diecast collection a bit. Hot Wheels and Matchbox basic cars make up the bulk of what I have, but I also have a second 1/64 scale collection coming along focused on premium level cars from Greenlight, Johnny Lightning, Autoart, Minichamps, Kyosho, Autoworld... If the HW/MB collection was GT2's Arcade disc, this one would be the Simulation disc, and I shift between them every year. 2013 was focused on the Arcade side, 2014 will be dedicated to Simulation, and to start it off on a high note, I just picked these two up from eBay:
The best thing about these? Not having to worry about scale. JL is the only maker that doesn't (or didn't) respect a more strict uniform scale, so most cars will look great next to each other.
